A Very Puggle Christmas

Hello all!

We are hoping you all had a very merry christmas with your families!

We had a very interesting Christmas, being shuttled from house to house. First was last weekend, we went to Gpa’s house. Squirt got a cute little santa hat with an elastic band holding it. Mom is going to cut off the elastic and replace it with a string so it doesn’t hurt me when we put it on.

On Christmas eve we went to Gma’s house! I was so excited when we got there. You see, Gma has 2 cats and I wanted to do was play with them! They hissed at me so I barked back! After a few hours I calmed down while mom made a gingerbread house. I knew dinner was coming so I waited patiently. Mom made me a homemade turkey pie, filled with with doggie food, some turkey, apple and carrots… yum!

Puggle Pot Pie... Yum!

First he picked up the apple and carrots and spit them out! Then he ate them later… funny boy!

He got some presents on Christmas Eve, Some on Christmas Day and some on Boxing Day, what a lucky puppy!

REVIEWS

First on the block are Nylabone chubby buddies

Nylabone Chubby Buddies

Nylabone chubby buddies are pretty decent. Compared to most plush toys they do stand up longer, however, our local supplier charges double the price than the company 😦 Squirt has had about 2-3 of these before and demolished them. It took him less than 24 hours to demolish his christmas one, however, the tennis ball on the inside lasted about 3-4 more days. Considering the price, it’s not worth it in our opinion, maybe later when he no longer chews like mad!  (( 2 paws out of 5))

Tuffy Toys Octopus

Tuffy toys are by far my favorite at the moment! On the price scale, they are a bit pricier, but as far as we can tell, they last! Every toy has a weakness, the octopus’s being its head, which Squirt chewed a little hole through. It was easily fixed and he carries this toy everywhere! This is one of the only toys Squirt knows by name. He flails it like crazy and chews all over the legs and no holes yet! Since he has only had it 3 days, we cannot give an accurate review, but so far so good!    ((4 paws out of 5))

Nylabone Rhino Wolf Bone

Nylabone Rhino Wolf  Bone is a great product! Similar to a Kong, this product is pretty durable. The only con is that it is supposed to smell like meat, but instead smells like plastic so it’s not his favorite.    ((4 paws out of 5))

Busy Buddies Tug-A-Jug

Busy Buddies Tug-A-Jug. This product is pretty decent and sturdy. The issue is that no matter how hard we try to explain it to Squirt, show him how to use it, he doesn’t understand. He began to chew on the back end in frustration and we gave in. The instructions are clear, but don’t necessarily work.     ((3 paws out of 5))

Nuts for Knots

The Nuts for Knots Ball. We bought it off ebay because I wasn’t sure of the quality. Im glad I only paid 5 dollars, as he had it broken in an hour.  Im unsure of what the ball is filled with, but it doesn’t look too good.  ((2 paws out of 5))

Outward Hound Urban Backpack

The Outward Hound Backpack is a lifesaver! We love this Backpack and it fits over his jacket, which is a major plus! It can actually carry quite a bit with its 5 pockets, 2 of them being very deep and spacious.  ((5 paws out of 5!))

Big Giggler Ball

Another Kong like material ball. When we first bought it Squirt was enamored with it! Unfortunately after about 3 days he became unamused with the fact that he could not for the life of him get to the giggler. He will sometimes retrieve it, but don’t count on it! ((4 paws out of 5 for idea and durability, 3 paws out of 5 for puppy amusement))

Kong Wubba Wet

The Kong Wubba- specifically made for water and snow! We bought one a while back to be a strictly outside toy for Squirt, and he loves it! He sometimes tries to sneak it in the house. It has absolutely no wear on it, it is stiff due to ice though. I think he likes the feeling in his mouth and therefore does not try and chew it roughly. Its a bit light, so be careful when you throw it. We need to buy a replacement because I threw it on the roof >.<  Such an ingenious toy, will buy another one for sure!  ((5 paws out of 5))

Kyjen Squeaky Squigglers

I’ve always heard awesome things about Kyjen. Many things about their “indestuctible” dog toys. Mom was so dissapointed when I ripped a hole in my Squiggler within ten minutes of her bringing it home! The cost versus how long it took me to rip a big hole in it was not worth it!  ((1.5 paws out of 5))

ABO Buffalo Toy

Abo Buffalo Toy. It is made of real buffalo hide, so it smells yummy plus is durable! Mommy hasn;t let me play with this toy yet, but she has heard great things about it. No Review Yet.

I hope these reviews help you puggle owners and dog onwers out there with choosing toys. Please remember, a toy I can rip apart in 5 minutes may be a toy that you can’t rip apart at all!

Have A Great New Years!
