Oh Sister….
As Amy Li said, “Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of. You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there. ”
Squirt is quickly learning this lesson.
You see, earlier this week, around friday ish, Squirt aquired a new friend. Her name is “L”
She belongs to the friend we live with. L is a great pyraneesX Lab.She is going to be BIG.
She is allready almost my size and she is only 8 1/2 weeks old!
On the advice of a pug owner, We decided to try Salmon Oil Pills. We were told it would help with some fo the “pug” problems with itchy, dry skin and possibly with some shedding. We have been trying them for about a week now and all we can say is WOW!.
Our black clothing… even our regular clothing are no longer white with hair as well we both noticed he no longer has really bad itchies.
Before it was horrible! We had even bought a furminator just to see if it would help…. well… we used it on him and barely any hair came out after a whole bunch of brushings. Good thing we didn’t pay the full price of $75… intead we ebayed it
New REVIEW!!
West Paws Hurley Stick
They come in 3 sizes. Mommy wasn’t sure which size to buy me, so she bought the small. It’s 6 inches long and fits perfectly in my little puggle mouth. Yesterday I paraded around the house with it and showed it off. Mommy just has to make sure L doesn’t get it, because in a few months when L gets bigger, she will be able to eat all of my toys! Especially the Hurley Stick
They also come in 3 super vibrant colors which mom loves! P.S I have the green one!
They have lots of other toys, like the Bumi, Zisc and Tux ball which mom has every intention of buying! Especially because they are so eco friendly, being made of Zogoflex. Zogoflex is recycled pop bottles!
Anyhowl, See ya later!

A Puggle Day Out!
Hey Guys!
Mom was looking at my paw and found something bad!
It’s called a canine histiocytoma, and my bud preston used to have one. Mommy and Daddy have decided to wait it out for a bit and if it doesn’t go away within about a month and a half, or at least go down, we will get me tested. Mommy wikipedia’d it, but it doesn’t say why we younger dogs get them… do you know? By the way, I keep scratching mine and then mommy has to clean it and keep checking it.
Anyhowl, Mommy got me microchipped the other day. I cried like a little girl puppy and peed a bit on the counter because the needle was so scary and hurt real bad! They put me down on the floor and I went to hide under mommy’s chair… but I was still bleeding alot so the evil scary lady had to rub my hurty spot down until it stopped.
After that, mommy bought me a new leash because I ate mine (!) and now she has to buy me a no pull harness because I ate that too ( I know, I know, naughty puppy!) I also got a new tuffy toy, a ring with a rating of 9! I’m working on chewing some of the lining on the edge off, but mommy keeps taking it away.
Today I got to meet Mommy and Daddy’s photographer, Jcq! She has a big greyhound from SAGA, a local Greyhound adoption. His name is Neville.
Anyhowl, I love Neville! He stayed put and let me sniff him. I followed him around the house and he took me outside, but I still pooped on the little carpet in front of the door! The screen was closed and I wasn’t sure if I should howl to let mom know to let me out. We got some family photos done and mommy is super happy with them. I didn’t feel like posing really, but Jcq got some good shots.
Afterwards, Mommy and Daddy took me to Dairy Queen. I got some licks of ice cream (yum yum!) and I was a good boy on the ride back home. I even had a nap with mom and that was super comfy.
Gotta go!
Mom just found out that I peed on the carpet!
I couldn’t help it, she scared me!
Happy New Years!
Happy New Years to all of my puggle friends!
I know this is really late but I have been super naughty lately and mom hasn’t had time to blog because she is too busy running after me! As well our floor is getting redone and I have been confined to mommy and daddy’s messy room!
**An Important Puggle Bulletin**
A few weeks ago, I got this strange stringy substance on both of my eyes.Daddy tried to wipe it off without touching my eye. Mommy was really worried so she googled some pictures. She was scared when she found out it may be dry eye! So off to the vet we went! Good thing we went as mommy calmed down. It turns out, us puggles produce more mucus on our eyes than most breeds. This means all the stringy stuff is really all that mucusy gross junk like sleep in humans eyes! While Mommy urges you to go get it checked out by a vet, she figured you fellow Puggles would like to know!
Since my last post, here are some things I have done:
-Eaten one muzzle, while mommy and daddy were sleeping, I knew I had conquered the evil thing until mommy came home with a new one the next day. She still doesn’t know how I got it off…. my secret
- Destroyed the octopus while mom wasn’t looking, more surgery for Franken Octo!
-Destroyed 2 balls
-Destroyed one of my nice rope presents
There are other things that mom doesn’t know about yet, but I’m sure she will figure them out soon!
I’ve also got my vet appointment for my microchip tomorrow. Mommy figured out all of the details and unless the company has her and daddy’s signature and lots of other info, my chip cannot be changed, which makes her happy because Kepa’s mom made her worry about chipping.
I’ve been getting alot chubbier lately because it’s just so darn cold in Canada. I refuse to walk,or we walk a few blocks and I request to be carried home. Mom hasn’t found any booties that work for me yet, not even the nice ones Preston has! I decided those would make a yummy treat.
So far in the last little while I have only had 2 bad reverse sneezing episodes. I woke mommy and daddy up at 2 am and since daddy had never heard one of my episodes he freaked out. I’m sorry! Mommy tried to help, but it didn’t work that well. She is going to ask the vet tomorrow because blowing into my nose and holding my nose shut didn’t work.
Mommy has also been hunting for a friend for me, but gramma doesn’t want me to have a new friend! So far she has found 3 other puggles looking to be adopted, but unfortunately due to different reasons, we couldn’t adopt them. Toby was bigger than me and didn’t like smaller dogs. Jackson was a fireball of energy and I disliked him. As for the female, mommy said we best not risk it as the female is still really young (13 weeks!) and she isn’t spayed. Mommy is worried she will get pregnant
Mommy also bought me a hurley stick, a furminator and a tux ball. Reviews will show up later. Mommy was told that Hurley sticks are indestructible and the company will send me a new one if I break it… just gives me more motivation!
I will update in the next few days about the happening in my life!

A Very Puggle Christmas
Hello all!
We are hoping you all had a very merry christmas with your families!
We had a very interesting Christmas, being shuttled from house to house. First was last weekend, we went to Gpa’s house. Squirt got a cute little santa hat with an elastic band holding it. Mom is going to cut off the elastic and replace it with a string so it doesn’t hurt me when we put it on.
On Christmas eve we went to Gma’s house! I was so excited when we got there. You see, Gma has 2 cats and I wanted to do was play with them! They hissed at me so I barked back! After a few hours I calmed down while mom made a gingerbread house. I knew dinner was coming so I waited patiently. Mom made me a homemade turkey pie, filled with with doggie food, some turkey, apple and carrots… yum!
First he picked up the apple and carrots and spit them out! Then he ate them later… funny boy!
He got some presents on Christmas Eve, Some on Christmas Day and some on Boxing Day, what a lucky puppy!
REVIEWS
First on the block are Nylabone chubby buddies
Nylabone chubby buddies are pretty decent. Compared to most plush toys they do stand up longer, however, our local supplier charges double the price than the company
Squirt has had about 2-3 of these before and demolished them. It took him less than 24 hours to demolish his christmas one, however, the tennis ball on the inside lasted about 3-4 more days. Considering the price, it’s not worth it in our opinion, maybe later when he no longer chews like mad! (( 2 paws out of 5))
Tuffy toys are by far my favorite at the moment! On the price scale, they are a bit pricier, but as far as we can tell, they last! Every toy has a weakness, the octopus’s being its head, which Squirt chewed a little hole through. It was easily fixed and he carries this toy everywhere! This is one of the only toys Squirt knows by name. He flails it like crazy and chews all over the legs and no holes yet! Since he has only had it 3 days, we cannot give an accurate review, but so far so good! ((4 paws out of 5))
Nylabone Rhino Wolf Bone is a great product! Similar to a Kong, this product is pretty durable. The only con is that it is supposed to smell like meat, but instead smells like plastic so it’s not his favorite. ((4 paws out of 5))
Busy Buddies Tug-A-Jug. This product is pretty decent and sturdy. The issue is that no matter how hard we try to explain it to Squirt, show him how to use it, he doesn’t understand. He began to chew on the back end in frustration and we gave in. The instructions are clear, but don’t necessarily work. ((3 paws out of 5))
The Nuts for Knots Ball. We bought it off ebay because I wasn’t sure of the quality. Im glad I only paid 5 dollars, as he had it broken in an hour. Im unsure of what the ball is filled with, but it doesn’t look too good. ((2 paws out of 5))
The Outward Hound Backpack is a lifesaver! We love this Backpack and it fits over his jacket, which is a major plus! It can actually carry quite a bit with its 5 pockets, 2 of them being very deep and spacious. ((5 paws out of 5!))
Another Kong like material ball. When we first bought it Squirt was enamored with it! Unfortunately after about 3 days he became unamused with the fact that he could not for the life of him get to the giggler. He will sometimes retrieve it, but don’t count on it! ((4 paws out of 5 for idea and durability, 3 paws out of 5 for puppy amusement))
The Kong Wubba- specifically made for water and snow! We bought one a while back to be a strictly outside toy for Squirt, and he loves it! He sometimes tries to sneak it in the house. It has absolutely no wear on it, it is stiff due to ice though. I think he likes the feeling in his mouth and therefore does not try and chew it roughly. Its a bit light, so be careful when you throw it. We need to buy a replacement because I threw it on the roof >.< Such an ingenious toy, will buy another one for sure! ((5 paws out of 5))
I’ve always heard awesome things about Kyjen. Many things about their “indestuctible” dog toys. Mom was so dissapointed when I ripped a hole in my Squiggler within ten minutes of her bringing it home! The cost versus how long it took me to rip a big hole in it was not worth it! ((1.5 paws out of 5))
Abo Buffalo Toy. It is made of real buffalo hide, so it smells yummy plus is durable! Mommy hasn;t let me play with this toy yet, but she has heard great things about it. No Review Yet.
I hope these reviews help you puggle owners and dog onwers out there with choosing toys. Please remember, a toy I can rip apart in 5 minutes may be a toy that you can’t rip apart at all!
Have A Great New Years!

Squirt’s Snow Adventure!
Yesterday we took Squirt and a group of friends to a local park with a hill big enough for sledding.
Mom got a few good pictures of the boys riding down the hill and Squirt rode down the hill twice. Mom thinks she will buy him doggles for next christmas, as well, he likes to stick his head out the window like any normal dog, but mom is afraid of him getting something in his eyes.
Enjoy!
Update on training:
Squirt’s training is coming along semi-well, he has gotten over some food agression and we introduced him to his first dog today. He met Grandpa’s dog, but Gpa’s dog didn’t like him too much so we kept them mostly seperated and Squirt kept him muzzle on most of the time. He is getting really good at sitting down, laying down and leave it. He is slowly learning to be a bit more gentle with our neice, he stays muzzled most of the time near her and we are teaching her to be extremely gentle with him and to not bother him while he is eating. He seems reluctant to take treats or food from her little hands, which hopefully will be solved after time of them spending time together. If his good behaviour continues and improves, we will be able to keep him for sure ^.^ Mom and Dad are super excited about this as over the last almost two months we have become so in love with this little guy.
Next update will most likely come on boxing day or a few days after showing Christmas pictures. Reviews for toys will most likely show up early Jan. 2010
Merry Christmas to all you Puggles out there and every other dog!
A week of mischief!
Hi all! Sorry Mom hasnt updated for me lately… too much worrying about christmas!
On monday Mom invited this really nice guy out to our house.
His name is Tyson Hainsworth, and he is my new best friend!
So anyways, Tyson is my trainer! He came over, but at fist wouldnt pay any attention to me! I was so frustrated, to show my mommy I made a funny yelping whine noise she has never heard. Then I kept trying to sneakily steal his gloves off of the washer, but mom and dad didn’t put up with it!
Tyson gave me lots of treats and filled my tummy! He taught me lots of cool things which I forgot 2 hours later, but he told mom and dad how to reinforce all the cool things. After a few hours I got bored and went outside to play in the snow. When I came back inside I didn’t want to learn ANYTHING anymore. Mom says I was too hyper, and I showed it by using the couches as my obstacle course!
Mom and Dad have been making me work for everything since Tyson came over, which kinda sucks, but I usually get treats and lots of love an affection. I also got a brand spanking new ag for my collar, so if I ever get lost, they go onto mydogspots.com and email Tyson and my mommy and daddy can come get me!
Mommy still figures I will find a way to get out of the collar and is thinking of microchipping me, but Kepa’s mommy posted a really good post on her blog about the do’s and dont’s of chipping. Now mommy is on the fence, but I have a vet appointment soon so she will talk it over with the nice vet ladies.
Mommy keeps getting excited about some holiday coming up soon. She says it will be my first christmas, whatever that means.
We get to go to grandma’s house… and she has cats! Mom is super excited to see what I do with the cats! We are going to sleep over and mommy said aunty and grandma and grandpa J will have lots of loving to give me when I tire her out!
I also overheard mommy talking to someone about getting a baby gate and an igloo… I hope there isn’t a baby coming over! As for the igloo…. what is that? Mom said I will know soon.
No pictures right now, I used up all of mommys memory being cute!
Licks and snores… and some sleepy kick in the back,
Squirt

Squirt’s Christmas Wishlist!
Well, mommy has a secret list kept from Squirt…. of things she wants to buy him!
Here’s her list:
1. Air Kong
- Squirt has the balls and loves them!
2. Tug- A-Jug, an interactive toy for him to earn supper!
3. Nuts for Knots Ball, He demolishes his tug of war ropes, so why not a ball?
4. Goughnuts, when you see the red, stop!
5. The Kyjen Firehose toy, supposedly indestuctible
6. Hole-e, suposedly supposed to be super durable as well.
7. Outward Hound Doggie Backpack, so he can carry his own treats! and leash etc etc
8. Bad Cuz, supposedly indestructible dog toy
9. Big Giggler, it supposedly giggles a bunch while enticing the dog to go after it.
We will most likely be buying them off of ebay, minus the goughnut, as they dont sell them on ebay.
Reviews will come most likely after christmas!
As well, we bought a no pull harness and will dish about that when it shows up as well!
Thanks- Squirt and Mom!
p.s Mom wants to buy me antlers!
